Pool Automation and Smart Control Systems Guide
A pool automation system is a convenience layer on top of the same equipment, not a replacement for knowing how that equipment works. This site is dedicated to a single build method: gunite (shotcrete) construction, rebar cage, sprayed and hand-finished concrete, engineered bond beams, and a design that can be shaped to anything the lot allows, from tanning ledges to negative edges to integrated spas.

What Gets Automated
A modern system typically controls pump speed/schedule, heater temperature, lighting scenes and color, and salt cell output from a single app or control panel, replacing separate timers and manual valve or switch adjustments for each piece of equipment.
What It Doesn't Do
Automation schedules and monitors, it doesn't diagnose a failing pump bearing or balance water chemistry on its own (though some higher-end systems pair with a chemical-feed and monitoring add-on). Treating the app as a dashboard for equipment that still needs physical maintenance, rather than a set-and-forget fix, is the realistic way to use one.
